Attractive chef's dishes in which international cuisine and local flavours are harmoniously combined are served at B Restaurant.

As befits the capital, Ljubljana has a restaurant with a view. Of the town, of course. On the 20th floor, on the top of InterContinental Ljubljana where there is a magnificent 360-degree view of the old centre with the castle on one side and the Alps on the other.

Prestigious hotel glamour awaits restaurant guests. At first, it comes in the form of the host at the restaurant, who will take you to your table and present your waiter.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and pleasant. It is rather calm in the morning, as hotel guests only wake up and enjoy the view during breakfast. At lunch, you can encounter a fairly diverse group of people, from foreign guests to locals. The lively atmosphere in the restaurant intensifies as the evening draws near.

The relaxed atmosphere can be attributed to good company, excellent service and the ambience that provides a view of the centre of chef Komnen Bakić’s culinary creations through the open kitchen. And finally, to the elegant menu with the emphasis on a wide range of ingredients from the region.

The cherry on top is a wine list with superb wines from Slovenian and surrounding regions.

Top ingredients and technically complicated dishes

Chef Komnen draws up complex menus and does not leave the ingredients to chance. He selects first-class local ingredients that give dishes character.

Ričet with smoked pork, Istrian fuži with freshly grated truffle, pumpkin risotto with roasted duck, roasted eel and tubers in a crust created from Piran salt, Black Angus fillet with artichoke purée and sun-dried tomatoes, etc.

Do some dishes from the kitchen of B Restaurant sound simple? Wrong. They require complex preparation and well-thought-out cooking. Their specialities satisfy even the most discerning guests, such as celebrities and diplomats.

Meet the chef

A charismatic chef who has travelled the world due to his love of cooking

Komnen gained experience in luxury restaurants and prestigious hotels, including The Ritz London.

Komnen also gained experience in prestigious restaurants in Montenegro and Serbia. As the chef at Prime Restaurant at Crowne Plaza Belgrade, he won the ‘Ambassador of Good Service’ award in the category Chef of the Year in Serbia in 2016.

In 2020 and 2021 he was awarded the Michelin Guide award for a meticulously prepared meal created from fresh ingredients.

He prepares innovative dishes which, together with the view, create an unforgettable experience for guests.
