The Kunst family proudly bear their surname, which means art in German. That is why they pay special attention to art. Art in the renovated hotel rooms, the inn, as well as on the plates.
Restaurant and Hotel Kunst are located in Leskovec pri Krškem in the Krško polje area, home to the only Slovenian indigenous pig breed, which has a very special place at the Kunst Inn. It can be found almost everywhere on the menu, be it as a cold appetiser or even dessert. It is also proudly featured on many decorative elements of the interior. You may also happen upon a young piglet just as you enter the inn.
Grandfather Feliks and grandmother Tončka opened Gostilna Šempeter in 1966. Today, the family business is run by the third generation, which successfully follows the tradition and strives to meet the expectations and wishes of each and every guest.
The heart of the inn is the kitchen, where they use delicacies from local farms to create art on your plate: Krškopolje pork bone soup, liver with mashed potatoes and fried onions, Krškopolje pig T-bone steak, as well as a chocolate hat with Krškopolje pork fat and pumpkin ice cream or semolina dumplings with liver, Krškopolje pork cheeks and fried Raka onion.
The art of Kunst cuisine is also reflected on the plates.
The Kunst inn team of chefs design dishes based on fresh and local ingredients. They create in accordance with the seasons and traditions, and like to arrange their plates with an emphasis on colour.
