The Potato Festival 2026

A day dedicated to potatoes, local cuisine, tradition and a pleasant gathering for all generations.

This year’s edition brings a diverse programme combining the presentation of potato cultivation, tastings of traditional potato dishes and a variety of accompanying activities. Visitors will have the opportunity to hear stories from primary school pupils about potato growing, discover the largest and most unusual potatoes, take part in traditional potato-themed games and explore a photography exhibition showcasing potato cultivation. The event will also feature a visit to the ethnological collection, presentations by local associations and producers, creative workshops for children, an inflatable playground, a performance by Ansambel Marka Krašne and the presentation of awards by the Tourist Association of Slovenia.
