Key information
More than 120 years of family history
Carinthian recipes woven together with modern cooking.
Gostilna Murko is a family inn with more than 120 years of tradition, writing its story since 1903. Its culinary concept rests on respect for Carinthian heritage, home-style flavours and traditional recipes, combined with modern cooking approaches.
The menu changes with the seasons and the availability of fresh ingredients, while keeping the traditional dishes that are the inn's trademark. The spotlight is on wild mushrooms, seasonal vegetables, home-cured meats and other delicacies of the Carinthian countryside.

Mežerli worthy of a heritage register
A tasting menu through the flavours of Carinthia.
Mežerli hold a special place in the kitchen. Gostilna Murko works to keep them known and alive, and has proposed adding them to the register of Slovenia's intangible cultural heritage. The best way to get to know them is the tasting menu, which presents traditional dishes in a modern guise: homemade pâté, Carinthian mushroom soup, mežerli and slow-cooked beef cheeks.
Sustainability is part of everyday life at the inn, confirmed by the Green Key eco-label and the Slovenia Green label. They favour local and seasonal ingredients, work with nearby suppliers and reduce food waste through careful purchasing.
