Each capital has a restaurant like Cubo. A restaurant that is simply (and deservedly) in. Cubo has been doing it for a whole decade.

A designer restaurant away from Ljubljana’s centre appears urban-like and sophisticated. A small garden by the restaurant and a car park is furnished with a few tables for you to refresh yourself with a drink. For a genuine vibe and experience, pick a table inside.

The restaurant has been full since noon when its doors open until late evening for a whole decade. You can have a serious business lunch, a date or something else here. Everyone is here and you are bound to meet a familiar face. The food at Cubo is great and you’ll leave with a full stomach.

The ambience is warm but sophisticated. The staff are kind and professional, service is as it should be. You be welcomed with grissini, home-made mayonnaise and celery as you arrive. Boštjan Trstenjak, the soul and driving force of the restaurant, will come to check on your happiness and wishes.

You can check out the wine list with 400 labels on a tablet. It includes currently the best wines in Slovenia. Wines from Jakončič family farmhouse are always available. Wine specialities are taken care of by sommelier Matej Mesec.

Legendary home-made pâté with pears, truffles, and honey served with fruit bread is divine.

Food flirts with modern Mediterranean.

Fish, meat, pasta, plenty of vegetables and sweet final dishes just as they should be. They like to pride themselves on desserts. They are all good, from the sweetest to lighter fruit sorbets.
